ABOUT THIS VLOG:

➡ Finally it happened. We went to our first EVER Portugal football match and it wasn’t just any match. It was the most important derby in Portugal: SL BENFICA vs SPORTING CP – literally the biggest football rivalry on planet Earth.
The two teams have been hating each other for more than 100 years and each time they go head-to-head it’s with much anxiety and tension that can be felt right from when you enter the metro in downtown Lisbon.
Neither of us are passionate about football so for us, it was more about experiencing the atmosphere at Estadio da Luz, which holds +65.000 people. That is a whole lot more than what we are used to in Denmark, where we are happy with 10.000 people at a match.
It was a quite amazing experience to watch SL Benfica vs Sporting CP right from entering the stadium, watching the Benfica eagle show, the fans singing to watching the actual game that is best known as “Derby de Lisboa” (The Lisbon Derby).
The conclusion of our Benfica vs Sporting Lisbon game is that even if you don’t care much for football (like us) it’s definitely still worth the experience. The football tickets are also quite cheap ranging from 10 to 20€. We sat on 3rd floor on the Emirates side, which were really great seats with a perfect view to everything.
