Welcome guys to my preview of the Champions league Quarter Final playoff between SL Benfica of Portugal and Chelsea of England.
The first match will take place on March 27th @ Benfica at the Estádio Da Luz in Lisbon, Portugal. The second match will be on April 4th @ Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in London, England

Now for some facts.
In the UEFA ranking Benfica is ranked at 13th and Chelsea is ranked at 3rd. Benfica have already won 2 Champion’s League titles while Chelsea have won none. Benfica won Group C with 12 of possible 18 points with 3 wins, 3 draws, and no losses. Chelsea won Group G with 11 of a possible 18 points with 3 wins, 2 draws, and 1 loss.

Onto Leading Goalscorers, Benfica’s Oscar Cardozo leads the team with 4 goals in 7 matches, with Bruno Cesar and Maxi Pereira coming in close behind with 2 goals in 8 and 7 matches respectively. Chelsea’s Didier Drogba has 4 goals in 4 matches, and they also have 5 players with 2 goals each including, Torres, Lampard, and Mata.

Now onto cards, Benfica’s Pablo Aimar and Maxi Pereira have 3 yellow cards each, and they also have 3 players with 2 yellow cards each including Emerson (who got a red because of the 2 yellows), and their Goalkeeper Artur.
For Chelsea, Raul Meireles has 3 yellows, and then they have David Luiz and Ashley Cole who have 2 yellow cards each. The cards are important because this can usually show who the more aggresive players are and who is most likely to commit hard fouls that will give them cards in future games.

It is my opinion that Benfica will win this Quarter Final playoff, they are unbeaten in their last 10 home games in the tournament dating back all the way to Decmber of 2010, Benfica are hoping to get to their first Semi-Final appearance in 20 years, Benfica have not conceded a goal in their last 4 quarter final home games, the last time someone scored on them in a quarter final home game was Liverpool in 1984 where they only lost 1-0. The winner of this match will play the winner of the Barcelona/Milan playoff.
